How to open a job by photographing the plate

The fastest way to register a car in WashPro is to photograph its plate: the plate is read, the job card lands on the board, and you never type it out. This page covers the whole flow, the manual route, and the places where the board protects you.

Before you start: at least one service

The job screen takes its price from your services. With none defined the app says "Add a service from the Services tab first" and will not open the job. That is protection, not a restriction: a job opened without a price shows as zero in the till and in payroll, and you only notice at closing time. Step by step

Tap the camera button at the bottom of the board.
Frame the plate. The reading appears on screen; tap it to correct it if it is wrong.
Pick the vehicle class (sedan, SUV, commercial…). The price follows this choice — the same service costs differently per class.
Tick the services. Their sum appears below as Total, so the figure you quote the customer is in front of you while the job is still being created.
Optionally pick the washer. Commission and payroll come from this; leave it empty and the job counts towards nobody's earnings.
Customer details are optional. Enter a phone number and you can send the "your car is ready" message in one tap when it is done.
Finish with either Add to queue (the car waits in line) or Start now (it goes straight to "washing").

Tip: During busy hours "Add to queue" is the right choice — the estimated ready time is calculated from the work already in line, so the customer gets a realistic hour. Starting jobs directly breaks that calculation.

Without the camera: opening a job manually

In the dark, on a dirty plate, or when camera permission was refused, use Open job manually and type the plate. The rest of the flow is identical — vehicle class, services, washer, queue. A manual job is not a lesser job; only the reading step was skipped.

The same car cannot queue twice

If a plate already has an open job on the board and you read it again, the app warns you and refuses the second one. That matters at shift changes and wherever two people work at once: the same car is not registered — and charged — twice.

It works without internet

Plate reading runs on the device; it does not go to the cloud. Jobs opened offline stay on the phone and sync by themselves once you are back online. An afternoon without internet does not stop the work; everything settles when the connection returns.

Common mistakes

Leaving the vehicle class on the default: charging sedan prices for an SUV is the most common lost revenue. Picking the class is one tap; the difference shows up at month end.
Leaving the washer empty: that job's commission goes to nobody and payroll comes out short. Choosing at creation beats fixing it later.
Not taking a phone number: you cannot reach the customer when the car is ready, so the car waits and your bay stays occupied.
Using "Start now" for everything: the board no longer reflects the real queue and ready-time estimates drift.
