Connecting an online payment account: PayTR and Stripe

In the app, Online is the fourth payment method alongside cash and card: you show the customer a QR code or a payment link, and the moment the money lands the deposit or the check-out is recorded by itself. This page explains how to connect the account.

Where does the money go?

Straight into your own payment account. The amount never passes through Tanrikulu Apps; Tanrikulu Apps holds no balance and takes no commission.

What the app does: ArenaPro never moves the money; it only receives the "paid" signal from the provider and records the deposit or the check-out. That is why you connect the account yourself and the collection is made in your name.

Understand test mode first

The Settings → Payment account → Test mode (sandbox) switch decides whether you are really collecting money. This is the most expensive setting to get wrong.

The app warns you and asks for confirmation when you turn test mode on. Before you start collecting real money, turn it off and connect your own account.

Which one should you connect?

You do not need both; the deposit and check-out screens only offer the providers you have connected.

Connecting PayTR

  1. Merchant account — apply to PayTR; once approved, your merchant panel opens.
  2. Payment-by-link permission — applied for separately from the panel. A plain account cannot create links on its own.
  3. Enter three values — PayTR panel → Information → Merchant No, Merchant Password, Merchant Secret Key; then Settings → Payment account → PayTR → Connect.

The link-payment application and the switch to live mode are described step by step on PayTR's own pages; if their interface changes, the current version is there.

Currency: PayTR's payment-by-link service accepts TRY, EUR, USD and GBP. For a business working in any other currency PayTR cannot create a link, and Stripe should be used instead. For EUR/USD/GBP your merchant account must also have a balance defined in that currency.

Connecting Stripe

  1. Complete the account — open a Stripe account and finish the business details; an incomplete account cannot take live payments.
  2. Get the secret key — in the dashboard under Developers → API keys. The value you need starts with sk_.
  3. Enter it in the appSettings → Payment account → Stripe → Connect.
The key is shown once. Stripe displays a newly created secret key only at that moment; if you lose it you create a new one. The app also never shows the key again after saving — you only see the "connected" badge.

What happens once it is connected

Online then appears in three places:

Neither the deposit nor the check-out is written before the money arrives, so you never end up with a record that looks collected while the money is missing. Online takings sit on their own line in the end-of-day till; they are never merged with Card — Card is what goes through your own terminal.

The customer cannot lose the QR code: the deposit QR also appears on the match tracking link (tanrikuluapps.com/mac/#code). Even if the WhatsApp message is lost, the customer can pay from that page; when the payment lands the page turns into "deposit received" by itself.

Common questions

Key safety: the keys are never downloaded to the phone and never stored inside the app; they stay encrypted on the server. Tanrikulu Apps never needs to ask you for them — you enter them only in your own settings screen.
