Vehicle entry and exit: plate reading, manual entry, collecting the fee

The whole daily job sits in two buttons: VEHICLE ENTRY and VEHICLE EXIT. This page explains the fine points of plate reading, manual entry, the fee at exit and the list of vehicles inside.

Vehicle entry

  1. Tap VEHICLE ENTRY on the dashboard; the camera opens.
  2. Frame the plate fully and straight on. The app shows the candidates it read; tap the correct one.
  3. Confirm — the vehicle drops into the "Inside" list and the entry time is recorded. A photo can also be kept if you want (the retention period is chosen under Settings → Photos).

Reading happens on the device itself: the photo is not sent to a server and no internet is needed.

If the plate is not read

Vehicle exit and the fee

  1. Tap VEHICLE EXIT; scan the plate or pick it from the list of vehicles inside (typing part of the plate into the search box is enough).
  2. Duration and fee arrive already calculated from the active tariff. Choose cash/card and confirm.
  3. The record closes and the amount is posted to the cash register; a subscriber vehicle passes without being asked for a fee and the record shows SUBSCRIBER.
Changing the fee by hand: the owner and the branch manager can change the amount at exit; if the manager PIN is enabled the PIN is asked. Staff cannot change it. Every manual change is written to the audit log and to the end-of-day report as a "manual correction".

Vehicles inside and search

The vehicles inside sit in the middle of the dashboard; the cards at the top show today's revenue, the number of vehicles inside and the number that have left. The search box works with part of the plate and ignores case and spaces. Tapping a record opens its details: entry time, photos, receipt QR code and plate history (previous visits of the same plate).

A receipt for the customer

In the record details tap Receipt QR; when the customer scans it they see the entry time and the running fee live. Details: Receipt QR code.

Correcting a wrong entry

If you entered the wrong plate, open the record and edit or delete it (deleting records is limited to managers and the owner). A closed record cannot be reopened; if a wrong exit happened, take the vehicle back in and write it in the note — the note appears in the end-of-day report.
